A Ficus Elastica, the rubber plant, at 150 cm on three trunks. The multi-trunk build is what separates a convincing indoor tree from an obvious fake: three stems rising at slightly different angles give the canopy depth and stop it reading as a single stick with leaves attached.
The thick, deep-green leaves have the waxy sheen the real species is known for, and unlike the living plant they will not drop when a room gets cold or a draught catches them. Ideal for an office corner, a clinic waiting area or a living room that gets little daylight.
