Weight, finish and size

Ceramic is heavy, and for a tall tree that weight is the point: it keeps a top-heavy olive or palm steady. Our ceramic planters in Lebanon come in glazed and matte finishes, from the New Ceramic Ribbed and Curved lines to Moon, Nepheli, Verona, Aurelia, Milano and the glossy white Riviera, with a matte black cylinder for a plain, modern line.

Each line has small, medium and large sizes, and each variation lists its measurements, for example 41×41×48.5 cm, so you can check the fit before ordering. Matte black and matte white suit a modern room; beige, off-white and vintage ribbed finishes soften a classic one; the Striped, Galaxy, Oval Stone and Strawberry Vase pieces add a different note to a shelf or a corner.

A planter chosen with a tree is 5% off, and its top layer of pebbles, lava rock or bark is free. Start from the tree, such as the olive trees or the palm trees, and add the planter from its page, so the two arrive together.

Questions people ask us

Is a ceramic planter heavy enough for a tall tree?

Yes, that is its main strength. The weight of the ceramic keeps a top-heavy tree, such as a tall olive or a multi-trunk palm, from leaning or tipping. Choose a size whose width suits the spread of the tree, and finish the top with pebbles for extra weight and a clean look.

Can I plant a live plant in these pots?

They are chosen as planters for artificial trees, which need no water, so drainage is not listed for each line. For a live plant, keep it in a plastic nursery pot with its own holes inside the ceramic, and empty any water that collects at the bottom after watering.

How do I pick the right size?

Every variation lists its measurements, such as 41×41×48.5 cm. Compare them with the base of your tree and the floor space you have, and remember that a tall tree looks best in a planter wide enough to balance its canopy. If you are unsure, send us the tree's name and we suggest a size.

What is the free top layer?

When you buy a planter with a tree, you can finish its surface with pebbles, lava rock or bark at no extra cost, or leave it bare. The top layer hides the base of the tree, adds a little weight and gives the planter a finished look. You choose it when you add the planter.
