Questions people ask us
What does real treated wood mean?
It means the trunk and main branches are natural wood that has been treated, with the artificial foliage set on them. Real wood gives the bark its texture and the tree its weight, which is what lets a floor-size bonsai look old rather than new. It is used on the large custom pieces.
Which bonsai can sit on a desk?
The table sizes: pine bonsai from 40 to 60 cm, the 60 cm juniper and the 64 cm podocarpus. They fit a desk, a console, a bookshelf or a reception counter, and need no light, so an office without a window is fine. Dust them every few weeks to keep them clean.
