A Dumbcane at 120 cm, the dieffenbachia, with broad cream-and-green variegated leaves. The pale leaf centres lift a dark corner in a way plain green foliage cannot.
The living plant’s sap is an irritant, so it is often ruled out in homes with small children and in food service. The artificial version removes that entirely while keeping the leaf pattern. No watering, no light requirement, and the variegation never reverts to plain green as it does in a dim room.
