Fan Palm 140 cm

A Fan Palm at 140 cm, with broad pleated circular fronds opening from short stems. The fans sit at about eye level here, which is where their outline reads best.

It works against a plain wall, in a terrace planter or grouped so the fans overlap into a light screen. Real fan palms tear along the pleat lines within weeks of coming indoors, which is the giveaway this version avoids entirely. Anti-UV foliage is available for outdoor positions.
