An Alocasia built as a tree at 130 cm, with the large arrow-shaped, heavily veined leaves lifted on a clear stem. Alocasia leaves are among the most graphic in any interior plant, and the tree form puts them where they can be seen.
Live alocasias go dormant without warning and demand humidity most Lebanese interiors do not have. This one stays open and upright year-round. Set it against a plain wall so the pale veining reads, and wipe the broad leaves occasionally.
