Where it goes in a hotel

The lobby. This is the room that sets the price expectation for everything else, and it usually has the ceiling height for a tree that real planting cannot deliver indoors. A 250–300 cm olive or ficus does more for a lobby than any amount of smaller planting.

Corridors and lift lobbies. Long, low-light, high-traffic — the worst possible conditions for real plants and the easiest win for artificial ones. Slim planters and green wall panels soften a corridor without narrowing it.

Restaurants and bars. Greenery does the dividing work that partitions do, without closing the room in. Planted screens between banquettes give guests a sense of their own space while keeping sightlines open.

Pool decks and terraces. Chlorine, salt air and full sun kill real planting quickly. Artificial planting takes all three without changing colour.

Spas and treatment rooms. No soil, no pollen, no watering, nothing to disturb during a treatment.

Installed around the guests

A hotel cannot close a floor for a fortnight. Because everything is fabricated in our Jdeideh workshop and arrives finished, there is no wet trade on site, no drying time and no dust — and installation can be scheduled around occupancy rather than dictating it.

After that there is no maintenance programme to budget for — no watering rounds, no plant-hire contract, no seasonal replacement. It is a one-off cost rather than a line item that repeats every month.
